A mother to the late Valerie, Ronald and Neil. Nana to Alex, Michelle, Danny and Michael.
Nana was special, she was one of the most caring people i have ever know. She was very polite, well spoken and did all that she could for her children and Grandchildren
Nana died on 29th May 1995, as far as i know or was told as i was only little, Nana fell from her stair lift and was found by My Uncle Neil.
Nana was a fantasitc cook and always loved to go to the Car boot sale with her very dear friend my Auntie Kim, who also sadly died in January 1999. They where very close and spent many a week end together.
Nana was burried in Eston Cemetery just across from My Auntie Kim, so yes they are still close. I also choose to lay my mam Valerie to rest with Nana, so they were reunited after 12 Years.
I hope Nana is Resting and Sleeping tight, so one day we can all meet again, and relive as a Happy family, as once we did.

a letter from heaven
My dearest family,
some things id like to say...
but first of all,to let you know,that i arrived ok.
im writing this from heaven.here i dwell with god above
here,theres no tears of sadness,just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because im out of sight
remember that im with you every morning,noon and night.
That day i had to leave you when my time on earth was through
god picked me up and hugged me and said "i welcome you"
Its good to have you back again,you were missed while
you were gone,
As for your dearest family.they,ll be here later on.
I need you here so badly;your part of my plan
Theres so much that we have to do,to help our mortal man.
God gave to me a list of things,that he wished for me to do
And foremost on that list,was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night,the days chores put to flight
god and i are closest to you...in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,and all those loving years
because your only human theres bound to be some tears.
But do not be afraid to cry;it does relieve the pain
Remember they would be no flowers,unless they was some rain.
I wish that i could tell you all that god has planned
But if i were to tell you,you wouldnt understand.
But one thing is for certain,though my life on earth is oer
Im closer to you now than i ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead and many hills to climb
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time
it was always my philosopy and id like it for you too
that as you gave unto the world,the world will give to you
If you can help somebody whos in sorrow or in pain
then you can say to god at night..."my day was not in vain"
And now im so contented...that my life has been worthwhile
knowing as i passed along the way,i made somebody smile
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low
just lend a hand to pick them up,as on your way you go
When your walking down the street and youve got me on your mind
im walking in your footsteps only half a step behind
And when its time for you to go...from that body to be free
remember your not going...your coming here to me.

hiya phyllis,hope your doing good up there,its been a long time but it doesnt seem that long,i lived next door to you for 20 years you were a very good friend and neighbour always ready to help and listen to people,neil still there popping in just like he always does,he takes after you in so many ways.you will be feeling like your back here soon as most of your family friends and neighbours are up there with you hope your all happy give kim and my mam a big hug from me,sleep well,nite god bless xx
